Persaudaraan di Atas Keimanan

Makhachev dan Khabib tidak memiliki hubungan keluarga, namun keduanya sangat dekat, bahkan terlihat seperti kakak-adik.

Lahir di Burshi, Dagestan, pada 27 September 1991, Makhachev merupakan tetangga Khabib.

Keduanya sekolah di tempat yang sama dan kemudian berlatih sambo bersama Abdulmanap.
